Web Desk: With the increase in the prices of petroleum products, the accumulators and the market mafia increased the prices of food products on the first day and the citizens were robbed with both hands. The Federal Finance Minister yesterday announced a sudden increase in the prices of petroleum products up to 35 rupees, after which the watchmen and big crocodiles in the various markets of Peshawar increased the prices of food items. Black tea in the last few days has increased from 1400 per kilogram in big stores.
Similarly, the price of garbage per kg has soared above Rs 500, while various companies, including rice and pulses, have also started weighing in to make their food and non-food products more expensive. According to the citizens, the government letter is nowhere to be found, and the institutions seem helpless in front of the mafias. Big crocodiles and mafias in the market are robbing the citizens until the official tariff for food products determined by the Government is in force. On the other hand, the businessmen are of the opinion that due to the increase in the price of electricity, gas and oil products and transport fees, they are forced to increase the rates.
