Former Indian batsman Hemang Badani shared an interesting story about the epic 2001 Garden of Eden Test where Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman put together a 376-run partnership to lead a stunning comeback against Australia.
“Not many know that at the end of the third day we packed our bags, they were to be taken straight to the airport and the team went straight to the airport from the ground. And then these two batted like magicians without losing a goal all day,” Badani wrote on Twitter.
“When we got back to the hotel we didn’t have our bags and were stuck with the match gear and the rails until about 9pm or so. “Many of us dined at the hotel restaurant in our whites,” he added.
