New Delhi: Two new ministers of the Delhi government, Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj, have been given portfolios. In the Delhi government, Atshi has been appointed as the Education Minister, while Saurabh Bhardwaj has been appointed as the Health Minister. Atishi holds the portfolios of PWD, power and tourism along with education, while Saurabh Bhardwaj holds the portfolios of health as well as UD, water and industry. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has sent the names of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi to the Lt. Governor for a cabinet ministry.

Earlier, Delhi Deputy Chief Ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain resigned from the Arvind Kejriwal-led cabinet. Both ministers were arrested on charges of corruption. Manish Sisodia held 18 of the total 33 departments in the Delhi government.
After taking the oath, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atshi said that in 75 years of independence, no one has done as good a job as Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain in education and health but were removed by the central government. Both ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain have been jailed in false cases. As Lord Rama’s brother Bharat took care of his work for 14 years after his exile, we will also take care of his work for 14 years and pray to God that both of them will be soon. Come back and take it job done.

Both of them said that health, education and cleaning of Yamuna and bringing water to every house will be our priority, things which were delayed due to central government will be speeded up. We can only expect support from the Lieutenant Governor. The central government would try to stop work, but the people of Delhi gave us a chance because they kept stopping and we kept working.
