The ED is probing money laundering allegations against former railway minister Lalu Prasad’s family and their associates in connection with the land scam case. Sushil Modi, a senior BJP leader in Bihar, quipped about this. He said that CM Nitish Kumar is happy with the raid on Lalu Yadav’s family members.

Sushil Modi said the push by RJD to make Tejashwi Yadav Chief Minister of Bihar will now end. He wants Tejashvi Yadav to go to jail and therefore says CBI should investigate quickly.

Raid in many places

The ED on Friday launched raids at several places in Delhi linked to Lalu Prasad’s son and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and other family members. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided over 20 premises, including the residences of the three daughters of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders, in connection with the money laundering probe in the ‘job for land’ scam case. The ED also raided the residence of Lalu’s SP Samdhi leader Jitendra Yadav in Ghaziabad.

Tejashwi Yadav gave an answer

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashvi Yadav reacted to the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) allegation. He was targeting the BJP while tweeting. Tejashwi said in his tweet that the recollection – in 2017 also alleged transactions worth Rs 8000 crores, malls worth thousands of crores, hundreds of properties and just a few months ago, WhiteLand Company’s multi-billion UrbanCube mall was also found in Gurugram. Further, while mocking the BJP, he said that the BJP would have given the old account to its sources before bringing the new account of the alleged Rs 600 crore.
