Former President Pervez Musharraf was born on August 11, 1943 in Delhi, died at the age of 79.
General (retd) Pervez Musharraf took over as Chief of Army Staff on 7 October 1998, on 12 October 1999, he became the Chief Executive after replacing former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and was later elected as the full-time President of Pakistan by holding a referendum in April 2002.
In 2004, through the 17th amendment of the constitution, Pervez Musharraf was elected president for another 5 years, Pervez Musharraf resigned on 18 August 2008 and left the country.
