Islamabad: (Web Desk) Federal Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar said that investment in technology is very important to achieve the development goals of the country, my office is open to all to facilitate trade and investment.
Addressing the US-Pakistani Diaspora Conference on Accelerating Silicon Investment in Pakistan, he assured the government’s full support to facilitate trade and investment in the technology and digital ecosystem sector.
Syed Naveed Qamar said winning the trust of the vibrant and successful American-Pakistani diaspora and local businesses in Silicon Valley and most importantly the government of Pakistan will definitely help improve Pakistan’s technology and digital ecosystem.
The Federal Minister also congratulated USAID and OpenSilicon Valley for launching the Startup Connect program in Pakistan. It is great that today’s conference highlighted the potential of immigrants to benefit from investments in the technology sector to make Pakistan advanced and modern.
Syed Naveed Qamar further said that USAID is signing memorandums of understanding with four diaspora institutions which will have a positive impact on the development scenario of Pakistan.
The federal minister assured that his office is open to all to facilitate trade and investment in the technology sector.
