Chairman Senate Standing Committee on National Education and Training Irfan Siddiqui said the closure of Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad for a prolonged period was regrettable.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad on Monday, he said the matter was included in the agenda of the next meeting of the Committee.
The chairman said that we are hearing news regarding quarrels and conflicts between students in different universities and such issues should be resolved at the earliest to ensure a conducive environment in the campuses. He further said that managing the affairs of universities without having vice-chancellors is not justified.
Irfan Siddiqui said that this serious matter will be discussed in detail in the next meeting of the Committee.
