News Daily Digital Desk: Mantra and Sanskrit language. Both are closely related. This idea is fixed in our mind by long practice. As Mantra Japa is mandatory in any worship, we know that the language of that Mantra is Sanskrit. Priests follow the tradition and still chant in Sanskrit. Not everyone knows the meaning of that Sanskrit mantra. As most of the people do not practice Sanskrit language and pronunciation, in many cases, common people also face the problem of chanting Sanskrit mantras while offering garlands. However, many still believe that the tradition of mantras in the Sanskrit language gets its due status. Many people think that the chanting of the mantra should be in a language known to all, in which the meaning of the mantra is clear. In other words, I must understand what I am saying before God. Pronunciation is also refined. From that point of view Bengali mantra should be in Bengali language. It is in this context that ‘Sambad Daily Digital’ released ‘Pushpanjali #ChantBangla’. But is chanting possible in Bengal? Is there any harm if the mantras move away from the Sanskrit language or is there any harm in not chanting the mantras in Sanskrit? Education expert Nrisimha Prasad Bhaduri answered this.

“The sweetness of the mantra, which was once mesmerized by listening, now no one recites that mantra. It is a Vedic mantra. When the Vedic mantras used in Yajnas were abandoned, a special deity and deity-based mantras were created in the Puranic period, they were created in place of the Vedas. Nrisimhaprasad Bhaduri said, “I think why mantras cannot be chanted in Bengali when the legal limits of Vedic reformation can be violated. It is clear from his statement that the change of mantra happened a long time ago. From the Vedic age to the Purana age, the mantras changed according to the needs of the time. If someone today chants in Bengali instead of Sanskrit in the same demand, it would be impossible.” Not an incident. But is there a possibility of guilt? In response, Nrisimhaprasad said, “God does not live in stone or wood. God resides in thought. Nut. As a result, there is no exaggeration in the mantras I can say where I say ‘ma ma’ in Bengali. Don’t feel anything.”

Making the matter more clear, he said, “Where is the mistake? I can see God in Arti. When pronouncing Sanskrit words, the pronunciation is not correct. Even if someone corrects the pronunciation, can God be brought down? I do not think so. I pronounce the words, but do not know their meaning. What is the use of pronouncing words whose meaning I do not know? I Durga’s mantra ‘Saranye Tryambake’ was said, but I don’t know what was said. I think it is more convenient to offer one’s feelings to a Bengali goddess if it is said in Bengali. There is no possibility of going wrong. If you can convey your aarti to Amma in Bengali, that is the most important thing. That is the greatest mantra. “
