KARACHI: The Election Commission has announced the results of 205 out of 235 USCs in the Shahr Quaid municipal elections, according to which the People’s Party came first, Jamaat-e-Islami came second and PTI came third. According to the inconclusive results obtained by the Electoral Commission, the People’s Party secured 86 presidential and vice-presidential positions. In the second place is Jamaat-e-Islami, which won 68 seats, while the third place is PTI, which won 37 seats for the vice-president of the UC president. Tehrik Labeek Movement, Muhajir Qaumi managed to win one UC each. The results of 30 UC are yet to come. In 10 UCs, voting was not held due to the death of candidates and in one seat the UC president and the People’s Party vice-president won unopposed. Jamaat-Salami is third with 111 seats and Grand Democratic Alliance is third with 15 seats, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) won eleven seats and Sindh United Party won eight seats while independent candidates also dominated and won 92 seats.
