New Delhi: Coalition Interior Minister Amit Shah convened a high-level meeting on Thursday to reveal that the People’s Front of India (PFI) had links to terrorist organizations. National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval and other senior officials attended the meeting. This meeting was held after the National Intelligence Service (NIA) arrested about 100 PFI activists from 10 states.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), working with various other agencies on Thursday morning, arrested about 100 PFI activists in raids in about 10 states. They are accused of supporting terrorist activities in the state. These attacks took place in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi. PFI President OMA Salam, Delhi PFI President Parvez Ahmed, Uttar Pradesh PFI Former Finance Director Nadeem have been arrested. These searches are carried out in the homes and official premises of people involved in financing terrorists, running training camps, radicalizing youth, and encouraging others to participate in banned organizations.
Nadeem, the former treasurer of Uttar Pradesh PFI, also appears to have been actively involved in protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act and the NRC. The NIA has sealed PFI offices located in the cities of Hyderabad and Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Meanwhile, some PFI activists have blocked roads in Kannur, Kerala. The police arrested them.
Secret meeting three days ago
It appears that the United Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) held a secret meeting three days ago. The meeting was reportedly attended by high-ranking officials from the ED, the NIA and the Intelligence Service. Then the attack started suddenly at midnight. Six control rooms were installed to coordinate these attacks. The raid was conducted at midnight to prevent unnecessary fuss by those involved with the PFI. After successfully completing this task, most of the NIA team returned to the branch.
Former Uttar Pradesh DGP Brijlal told the press that the PFI had direct ties to Pakistan. It’s a very risky business. He said the organization had direct ties to the Indian Mujahideen. He said India’s Mujahideen carried out many bombing attacks across the country. He said the PFI receives funding from Arab and Gulf countries.
A key decision for PFI!
According to a government source, the raid was carried out after thorough investigation and clear information gathering. Officials from the NIA, ED and security agencies attended a meeting with Amit Shah and said the government would soon make a decision on PFI status. The self-proclaimed social and religious organization PFI was previously accused of being involved in the killing of a Udaipur tailor and pharmacist in Amaravati.
