Joined JDU in 2018

Prashant Kishor had joined JDU in 2018 but was expelled from the party in 2020 for publicly criticizing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Especially when Kumar had supported the amended citizenship law, then Kishor had criticized him. A statement said that Kishor will endeavor to reach every panchayat and block during the yatra and will be a part of it till the end without taking any leave.

Vision document preparation

He will start his journey from Gandhi Ashram in Bhitiharwa in West Champaran where the Father of the Nation started his first Satyagraha movement in 1917. The yatra has three main goals, which include identifying the right people at the grassroots level and bringing them to a democratic platform, the statement said. The Yatra will also act as a vision document for the state by incorporating the views of experts from various fields including education, health, agriculture and industry.
