Preparations for local elections in Islamabad have resumed. According to the sources, the ballots were delivered to all the returnees, while the ballots were delivered to the RO by the district returnee. Sources said the policemen who returned today (Sunday) were called to collect the ballot papers on a holiday. It is to be noted that the Islamabad High Court, during a hearing on December 30, ordered the holding of local body elections in the federal capital on December 31. While the federal government has apologized for the immediate security arrangements for the local elections in Islamabad, Election Commission sources have also declared that it is impossible to hold the elections on December 31.
