Threatening messages were posted before this Test match. This threat was given by Khalistan terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. Pannu heads a Khalistan organization called SFJ (Sikhs for Justice).
The Gujarat police were on high alert following this threat during the Test match. Cyber Cell and Crime Branch teams were deployed to nab the accused. Apart from Madhya Pradesh, the location of those who threatened were also traced from UP, Bihar and Punjab. While investigating this, the police team reached Satna and Rewa in Madhya Pradesh.
