The cooks’ union, which prepares mid-day meals in government primary and secondary schools, will go on strike in the capital Raipur from Monday, demanding regularization and a pay hike for around 2,553 cooks. Mid-day meals will be frozen in area schools. Children will have to bring tiffin from their homes or go home.
