Ranchi, March 12 (Language) On the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, based on irregularities in the surprise inspection of tax shops in the state where 17 shops have been cancelled, the licenses of 20 dealers have been suspended.
According to a government release, show-cause notices have been issued to the operators of 202 tax shops.
An official spokesperson of the Jharkhand government said that based on surprise inspections conducted by officials appointed at the district level, three ration licenses were canceled in Hazaribagh while 17 were issued show cause notices.
According to the statement, the licenses of 13 shops in Lohardaga were canceled and notices were issued to 19 shopkeepers. Five shops were suspended in Seraikela-Karsavan and notices were issued to 22 shops.
According to the release, show notices have been issued to as many as 14 shops in Ranchi.
During the inspection, tax cards, distribution, grain lifting, number of card holders, stocks, matching register and official documents were mainly examined.
