This is the only route available to the population of about 61 villages and 15,000 people in this area.
Every year, 50,000 to 60,000 vehicles pass through the Barzal pass. This year the pass was closed for January and February. Pakistan army soldiers worked round the clock tirelessly to open this pass. Pakistan army soldiers performed their job well even in cold weather.
