Islamabad (92 News) – Snow-covered Barzal pass opened for traffic. Barzal Pass is an important point for both Pakistan army and people. The height is 13808 feet above sea level. Barzal Pass is covered with snow from October to April.

Barzal Pass is located 178 km from Gilgit. It is an important checkpoint for both the Pakistan Army and the people. The height of this place is 13808 feet above sea level which is covered with snow from October to April. This is the only route available to the population of about 61 villages and 15,000 people in this area.

Every year, 50,000 to 60,000 vehicles pass through the Barzal pass. This year the pass was closed for January and February. Pakistan army soldiers worked round the clock tirelessly to open this pass. Pakistan army soldiers performed their job well even in cold weather.
