Pancakes have long been everyone’s favorite breakfast around the world. While some enjoy them with dolls from Maple syrup, chocolate sauce or honey, others like to keep them salty. If you belong to the latter category, who’s stopping you from indulging in some delicious Korean-inspired pancakes? With Korean cuisine storm is taking over the world, it’s time for you to make these crispy and delicious pancakes, locally known as Jachayeon. It is a popular dish in Korean cuisine, especially in the spring and summer seasons when fresh vegetables are plentiful.
Ayushi Gupta-Mehra, a food blogger on Instagram, shared the recipe for these delicious Korean-style pancakes which you can prepare using simple ingredients in a short time. “We do it on a weekly rotation at home.” And if you’re anything like us, these are ready to become your breakfast, snack, or even dinner,” she wrote.

Ingredients
* 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
* 1 tablespoon of corn flour
* 1/2 cup of water
*Spring onions
*Carrots
* Onions
* 1-2 tablespoons of oil
* 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
*1 tablespoon of vinegar
*sesame
*Gochugaru/chili flakes
* Sol
Method
*To make the dough, whisk the all-purpose flour, corn flourand water.
*Give it a good mix until the dough is smooth.
* Next, mix in about 2-2.5 cups of your favorite vegetables, cut lengthwise. “I added spring onioncarrots and onions,” she wrote.
* Now add some salt as per your taste.
*Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
*Spread the dough evenly in a round shape, gently leveling it with the back of the spatula.
*Reduce heat and allow to cook evenly on both sides, flipping halfway through.
*Add a little more oil if needed and take your time; Do not rush this as we want the vegetables to cook.
*Once crispy, it’s ready to serve with a quick dipping sauce.
*To prepare the dipping sauce, mix the soy sauce, vinegarsesame seeds and gochugaru or chili flakes.
